My name is Jasmine, born & raised in Berks County PA. I've had a love for the arts since I could doodle on walls.
I have a formal high school education in the arts, mainly fine art & 2D art. I also started making synthetic loc extensions around 2014 which combined my love for hair styling & fiber arts . It was also a way for me to embrace natural hair care within my cultural roots too.
I'm a first generation artist & small business owner in my family. Through my art I desire to achieve connections to others through what I craft & bring a sense of beauty into the world (whether it's conventional or not ). I hope to become gain long term stability & create a secondary stream of income to achieve true financial independence.
There are many subjects that inspire & fuel my work : nature. florals & botanicals. my culture. the moon & stars. feminine energy & the concept of beauty, spirituality & occult, crystals, themes of fantasy & magic ... the mystery of darkness, the macabre, & much more.
During my spare time you can find me doing all sorts of things - gardening & tending to plants, spending time with loved ones & pets, seeing live music, cooking & food prep, doing yoga, & just cozying up for a good nap. 😂 You can also find me lurking around in haunted houses ! I've been involved in the haunted attraction industry since 2011 & sometimes that subject matter is incorporated into my art as well.
✨ Violet Cove is a true culmination & reflection of things that I love, it's my personal oasis - everything from handmade ooak jewlery & art (paintings & prints), candles, crystals to my loc extensions.
